The Swiss Colony - Billed for something I never ordered
My Mom had sent me things from Swiss Colony maybe about about 30 years ago and I asked her to stop because I hated their products. I NEVER ordered any to send to anyone or for myself.
In September of 2014 I received a letter that said I had ordered something to be delivered to a person unknown to me in a City where I know no-one. I contacted Swiss Colony on at least 3 different occasions to tell them that I did not place this order. I received 2 more letters telling me that if they did not hear from me they would "by LAW" have to cancel the order. I again contacted them to tell them it was not my order and felt it was a scam.
I then received a form from them asking for information that I was not willing to let just anyone have. I did not fill it out and return it to them, since I thought from the previous letter, they would just cancel the order. But NO. Today I received a bill from them for over $200 for things I did not order, that I told them I did not order, that I did not know the person who was supposed to receive the order.
They did not include an 800 number for me to call, so I wound up calling long distance. The person I spoke to said she could not help me but transferred me to Loss Prevention, a division that does not have a separate number. I sat on hold listening to insipid music and a recording telling me that my call was important. I finally gave up and am going to try contacting them by mail or e-mail again.
I am furious, to say the least.
I do not want to attach the letters and bill, because it has my private information on them and I don't want to make matters worse. But I DO have copies of everything.
Reason of review: billed for items not ordered.
Monetary Loss: $222.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
The Swiss Colony Cons: Way they handle payment, I never ordered their products.
